In this Hot Blog Tips Hangout on Air we discussed How we as bloggers use Facebook. As you will hear. All 3 of us use it a bit differently.
The first question ask was -- Why do you friend the people you do on Facebook?
Brian D. Hawkins of http://hotblogtips.com starts us off by telling what kind of people he friends on Facebook.
Mitch Mitchell of http://imjustsharing.com has changed who he friends since he started on Facebook back in 2008.
By 3:40 Brian has patted himself on the back as the Facebook Expert. He was only joking...we think.
At 5:25 the question is ask -- Do you advertise your blog on your personal Facebook profile?
We start off with Brian admitting he just self-promoted on Facebook! Then Mitch tells us how and where he promotes his blogs on Facebook.
Should your friends be into all the same things you are? Should you expect your friends to be interested in your blog topics?
At 10:35 I ask Brian - How he tries to keep up on the interest of his Facebook friends.
12:13 Brian brings up that he would like to have a way to "sort" friends similar to Google Plus Circles. Mitch mentions an article talking about a Facebook App that lets you set up friends on Facebook like circles. Mitch found the link and you can see for yourself - http://www.digitaltrends.com/social-m... - It looks as the site they mention in the article is down. Brian just tweeted me that he finally found the Interest List on Facebook for sorting friends.
15:35 Does your blog have a Facebook business page and does each of your blogs/sites have a separate business page?
Mitch has a Facebook Business page that is at - http://www.facebook.com/ttmconsulting where he shares things from his various sites.
22:30 Brian brings up the Traffic from Facebook topic.
